What began as a bold vision overlooking the Columbia River has evolved into one of America’s most compelling golf destinations. With the arrival of Scarecrow, expanded resort amenities, enhanced dining experiences and more ways to play than ever before, Gamble Sands has officially entered a new era.

At the center of this evolution is Scarecrow, the resort’s second 18-hole championship course designed by acclaimed architect David McLay Kidd. While the original Gamble Sands earned national acclaim for its wide fairways, strategic options and unforgettable Columbia River views, Scarecrow offers a distinctly different experience. Built across dramatic terrain, the course features smaller, more contoured greens, bold landforms and an abundance of strategic choices that encourage repeat play. Many golfers leave the 18th green already planning how they’ll tackle the course differently the next time around.

The addition of a second world-class course transforms Gamble Sands Resort from a single-course destination into a true multi-day golf getaway. Golfers can now alternate between two award-winning layouts, creating a unique experience every day of their stay.

Yet the story of Gamble Sands extends far beyond the golf.

The resort continues to expand its accommodations, offering guests comfortable luxury and easy access to every aspect of the property. Whether overlooking the Columbia River or Scarecrow’s fairways, the rooms place visitors just steps from their next round, meal or evening gathering on the Cascades putting course.

Dining has also become a key part of the Gamble Sands experience. In addition to the new barbecue program, guests can enjoy handcrafted pizzas and casual fare at The Barn or settle in for a more elevated farm-to-table experience at Danny Boy. Both venues reflect the agricultural heritage of the Gebbers family and the surrounding region, creating meals that feel connected to the landscape itself.

As Gamble Sands continues to grow, one thing remains unchanged — our commitment to fun, creativity and unforgettable golf. The destination may be larger than ever, but the spirit that made it special from the beginning remains firmly intact and is ever-evolving.
