The latest chapter of our “Growing Gamble” documentary from Matt Ginella and Fire Pit Productions tells the story of David McLay Kidd returning to shape a second 18-hole course — with design associate Nick Schaan. Get a look at the first third of the routing from start to finished product, plus some behind-the-scenes banter between DMK and Nick getting their boots dirty on the fairways and greens that would later become known as Scarecrow.

Scarecrow opens August 1. Reservations are currently being accepted for the remainder of 2025 and into the 2026 season.
