It took years to bring the vision of golf to life at Gamble Sands. The project started on a piece of property miles away from where guests play today. And it wasn’t until Orrin Vincent of OB Sports caught a glimpse of the Gebbers family land overlooking the Columbia River that what we now call Gamble Sands started taking shape. They brought in David McLay Kidd and the rest is an ever-evolving history — first with the original Gamble Sands course, then Quicksands and now Scarecrow.
